This 1,480 square feet lake cottage addition and renovation project included a second story addition to an existing one story cottage with walkout basement. The second story addition included a new Kitchen, TV room, two bedrooms, and a large bathroom. The project also included a complete remodeling of the main floor kitchen and renovated garage.
A new 4,000 square foot, four bedroom home with a finished walkout basement is situated on a very deep site along a bank of the St. Joe River in Elkhart, Indiana. It is designed to maximize the river experience with the majority of the living spaces having river views.
This Master bedroom suite second floor addition includes a large walk-in closet, reading/sitting area with fireplace, master bath with large walk-in shower, private covered balcony, and vaulted ceiling sleeping area. The project also included a new main level wrap-around porch with screened-in hot tub.
After many years of residing in a Cripe designed home, the Owner’s returned for a new commission to blend a sun room addition into the existing architecture. An existing enclosed porch area was expanded to include a five sided sun room addition with triangular shaped roof windows. A stone faced fireplace warms the new space. LED strip light fixtures were incorporated into the exposed beams and perimeter trim to indirectly light the ceiling. A new free form stamped concrete patio with brick bench helps to unite the architecture of the new and old.
A new 5,500 square feet one story with walk-out lower level home is proposed to be situated close to a scenic river bank. The river experience is maximized with an assortment of outdoor spaces including an open patio, river edge fire pit area, covered veranda, covered balcony and elevated deck. All of the main living spaces offer panoramic river views.
