Strong horizontal lines and low sloping hip roofs, characterize this two story prairie style corporate office building. The carefully detailed façade of the manufacturing portion of the building helps to blend the corporate offices with the industrial plant rather than the traditional contrasting approach to attached office/plant design. The pyramid shaped skylight caps the central stair atrium and provides a finishing focal point to the symmetrical office building design.
Initially, this project included a new 22,000 square feet research and Development Facility with attached two story executive offices for a new product line. Once the solid oak furniture products were developed, the facility quickly transitioned into a manufacturing plant with attached offices. The Owner requested a uniquely designed office building that would foreshadow the attached manufacturing building. Utilizing various textured masonry products, the resulting design concealed the manufacturing facility and created an eye catching contemporary professional building with great street appeal.
